We would rather explain the business than play games with the price. Here is the whole policy.
The rate is $29.99 per dedicated core per month and we have no increase scheduled. If that changes you will see the new price and its date in a banner at the top of every page, well before it takes effect.
If you order a server today, that rate is yours for as long as the server runs. A price increase applies to new orders only. This is not a goodwill gesture we could quietly withdraw, it is how the billing actually works: your subscription holds its own price, and changing the advertised rate does not touch it.
Every server here gets whole dedicated cores that nobody else is sharing, so our capacity is a hard number rather than a marketing one. When the fleet fills up, the only way to serve more people is to buy more machines. If demand is consistently outrunning supply, raising the price on new orders is how we fund the next machines without overselling the ones we have. The alternative the industry usually picks is to keep the price and quietly put more customers on the same hardware, and that is the thing we started this to avoid.
Any increase is announced with a date before it happens, on the site, so you can decide whether to lock in the current rate. We are not going to raise a price silently, and we are not going to invent scarcity to rush you. The capacity banner only appears when the fleet is genuinely close to full, and it disappears on its own when it is not.
Right now 7 of 195 dedicated cores are in use. That number comes straight off the fleet and you can see the per-node version on the status page.
